The Nordplan Shade 9000 series line features compact shelving fitted on bases or mobile units – with everything from static shelving to manually, mechanically or electrically operated mobile storage units. The mobile units run quietly and easily on rails that are installed on or set into the floor. The Nordplan Shade 9000 provides considerable space savings since it only requires one aisle width to provide access to the entire archive. Add to this a complete range of installation and accessory units, and you have the ultimate high density filing and storage solution.

Lighting
The Nordplan Shade 9000 Line high density filing and storage system can be combined with automatic computer-controlled lighting. The lighting fixtures are fitted to every unit and are only lit in the aisle that is opened. The material on the shelves is exposed to a minimum of light and heat. As a rule, electricity consumption and heat emission are reduced by about 80%.

Operation
Nordplan’s Shade 9000 Line can be supplied with manual wheel operation or computer-controlled electrical operation. The computer-controlled electrical operation provides superior efficiency and comfort. The units move silently, softly and easily without disturbing “jerks and bumps”. Authorization codes can be easily programmed in for maximum security.

Ventilation
Nordplan’s Shade 9000 Line units can be equipped with built-in fans, complemented by electrostatic and particle filters. Each fan forms part of the total ventilation system. The Nordplan Shade 9000 Line can be parked for the night with a system that automatically provides optimal space between the units for the best air circulation and ventilation.

Air Conditioning
In Nordplan’s Shade 9000 Line the air conditioning can be controlled separately for each individual unit with the aid of different designs of door sections – even glass. A dehumidifier is also available as an accessory. For secure storage of poisonous, inflammable or other hazardous substances, the units can be equipped with ventilation ducts and adapters for connection to a central extractor unit.

Floor
The Nordplan Shade 9000 runs on a stable rail design. The rails may be embedded in or laid on the existing floor. The infill flooring is approved for protection against damp and fire. The laminated surface layer provides good light reflection and is easy to keep clean. In the case of capillary damp problems, ventilated steel flooring is recommended for increased air circulation.
